Varsity Girls Soccer Takes Down Perry

The varsity girls soccer team beat Perry 3-0 on Saturday October 5 at Laybourne Field. This brings the team’s overall record to 6-5-4. The Tigers stayed strong on both offense and defense throughout the course of the game. Leading the defensive line were seniors Katlyn Long and Autumn Keller who kept the ball away from sophomore goalkeeper Ava Bowser for most of the match. Goals were scored by seniors Elizabeth Kurpik and Kaitlin Wilson followed by junior Emma Brustoski. On October 9th, the Lady Black Tigers will take on the Bulldogs at Stow-Monroe Falls High School, this will be their last game of the regular season. However, the Tigers will return home on Monday October 14th at 7:00PM for the first game of the playoffs against the Kent-Roosevelt Rough Riders. If they beat Kent and advance on, the Lady Black Tigers will then travel to Walsh Jesuit High School on October 17th at 7:00PM to take on the Warriors.
