Girls JV Soccer Defeats Perry for Last Home Game of the Season 2-0

The JV girls soccer team fought hard on Saturday, October 5 at Laybourne Field to snag one last win on their home turf for the season. This puts the team’s record at 6-4-3 overall and 1-3-2 in the Suburban League. Both teams started out strong on offense as well as defense. The first goal was scored with three minutes left in the first half by Freshman outside-mid Natalie Polidoro. During halftime, in regards to the second half, Coach Kevin Alleyne left the girls with just one goal: to score more goals! The team delivered as sophomore center-mid Grace Fratz took a shot from just above half-field and scored giving the tigers an even bigger lead, 2-0. The game ended with cheers from both the audience and the players running off the field to hug their teammates. The final game of the season will take place on Wednesday, October 9 at Stow-Monroe Falls High School where the Black Tigers will take on the Bulldogs. Regardless of the outcome at Stow, the team will finish with an overall winning season.
