CFHS Boys Soccer Season Review

The CFHS varsity boys soccer team will begin its postseason journey at 7 p.m. Tuesday when the Black Tigers play visiting Kenston at Laybourne Field in a Division I sectional opener.
This is the second meeting this season between the Black Tigers (4-7-4 overall) and Bombers, with CFHS winning the first match on September 7.
Solon will host the winner of the Tigers-Bombers game in a Division I sectional final at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Last Tuesday, the Tigers played to a 1-1 draw against rival Stow.
CFHS’ Jordan Akins scored at the 61-minute mark. However, Stow would tie the game with four minutes to play in the Falls’ final regular-season game of the 2019 campaign.
The Tigers ended league play with an 0-4-3 record.
On October 5, Perry’s varsity team edged the host Black Tigers, 1-0. However, CFHS won the junior varsity game, 2-1.
In the JV game, sophomore Noah Blake and freshman Jax Gruska scored for the Black Tigers, who also were able to keep possession of the ball for the majority of the game.
