Gay Straight Alliance gears up by making pride apparel

GSA, or the Gay Straight Alliance, hosts its weekly meeting every Thursday in the CPC. Their last meeting on Thursday, Dec. 2 dealt with creating “pride” gear and discussing issues with different holidays that the LGBTQ+ community has.
The leader of the club, Ellie Balit, has orchestrated the meeting so that supplies would be provided for members to make their own gear. Pride gear is anything that shows ‘pride’ of the LGBTQ+ spectrum, such as having a shirt with the trans symbol painted on it.
Another member at the meeting, Abbie Kiger, says, “Everyone bonded; they stepped outside their box and made new friends. It was great.” Kiger, who was the main supplier of materials for the meeting, attends GSA regularly.
Everyone is welcome to join the meetings every Thursday during Tiger Time in the CPC, and passes can be found in the guidance office. To receive alerts about meetings, text 44223 @81010. All are welcome to join meetings, no matter what sexuality or gender.
